Calima Lake has become the ideal place to practice different water sports.
Thanks to its ideal climate, calm waters and strong winds that are funneled by the canyons throughout the year, it is a perfect place for visitors and water sport fans to come and explore. Calima is within the top three recognized lakes in the world that offer these ideal conditions for learning and practicing sports such as windsurfing, kite surfing, and sailing among many other things to do.
Lake Calima is also a place where you can enjoy a soothing ferry trip or an exciting boat ride. After enjoying a delicious traditional lunch with a fantastic view of the lake, we will then head to the town of Darien, where we will be able to observe the traditional architecture of the Valle del Cauca.
To make this experience unforgettable, we will explore the rain forest in the misty mountains of the Yotoco natural reserve. This magical place is one of the last remnants of protected forest of the western mountain range.
The geographical location of the Reserve, provides an adequate ecosystem to house hundreds of animal and plant species throughout its 559 hectares. Among the most representative species are: The Red Howler Monkey, the Monarch Butterfly, small nocturnal monkeys, colorful frogs and the Pava Caucana, an endemic species of the region that is nearly extinct – Calima Lake.

It is not necessary to book all the spots; it is a group activity where travelers from other hotels will join. In case the minimum group is not completed, you will be notified by our agency to reschedule the tour.
The tour will not be canceled in case of bad weather, the objects you take with you must be waterproof, consider bringing a waterproof bag to store the electronic devices or documents that you want to take along the way.
Take comfortable shoes adequate for hiking and that can get wet.
In a small bag bring:
Bathing suit, extra clothes, small towel, flip flops, impermeable poncho or rain jacket, cap, sunglasses, sunblock, mosquito repellent and a bottle of water.
